Aquadora’s menu is a refreshingly original take on surf-and-turf that reflects the culinary artistry of Executive Chef Mike Dimas, a native of Dallas. Each of Chef Dimas’ exquisite creations is deliciously presented in high-resolution color photography on the restaurant POS iPad, so you can sample each of the intoxicatingly divine dishes before placing your order.

Chef Dimas aims to create a total multi-sensory dining experience; Aquadora says:

Each plate is created to appeal to all of your senses; the sizzle of some plates arrives early at your table to tease your ears, visual presentation that captivates the eye, aromas to entice the nose, textures to caress your touch then finally a taste to excite your tongue. The full sensory sensation of your meal is enjoyed with a tastefully selected wine and drink selection that enhances the overall experience.

The restaurant POS iPad is an integral part of that sensory experience, since, scientifically speaking, seeing really is believing! (Discover how science proves that “we eat with our eyes” in our previous blog post, “OPEN Asks: What Can an iPad Food Menu do for You?” You will be amazed!)

Aquadora’s restaurant POS iPad features such new concept entrées as “Seared Ahi on Caramelized Shallot Potatoes with Micro Greens and Citrus Vinaigrette,”Oven Roasted Sable Fish and Saffron Broth with Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Carrots and Pea Shoots,” andHarissa Roasted [free-range organic] Chicken in Phyllo with Toasted Cous Cous, Sugar Snap Peas and Cucumber Minted Yogurt, with starters, soups, and salads like the “Goat Cheese Tart,” “Shrimp & Black Bean Soup,” and “Golden Beet & Butter Lettuce Salad.”

Dessert offerings on the restaurant POS iPad include such unexpected, decadent specialties as “Peanut Butter Banana Torte with Chocolate Ganache, Peanut Brittle and Rasberry Coulis” and “Dark Chocolate Pot Du Crème with Black Pepper Cherry Compote, Chantilly Cream and an Almond Lace Cookie” – creations as beautiful as they are sumptuous.

The wine list on the restaurant POS iPad at Aquadora is also extraordinary — the product of a close collaboration between General Manager Mike Lakomski and wine consultant Eric Moore to select “food-friendly” accompaniments to Chef Dimas’ cuisine and introduce diners to a collection of some of the world’s most “unique, ‘off the beaten path’ selections.” The collaboration resulted in a selection of 20 white, 20 red, and 10 sparkling wines that exceeds all expectations, both in great-taste and affordability.

The beverage menu on the restaurant POS iPad also features an assortment of fresh fruit-infused champagne cocktails and specialty martinis.

To take full advantage of the freshest, locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, the 25-35 selections on the globally-inspired, but local, sustainable, and organic food-focused, tapas and raw bar menu change frequently – sometimes daily, based on local and seasonal availability. With an old-fashioned paper menu, the reprinting costs would be staggering, but, with the restaurant POS iPad, Chef Dimas can seamlessly add or delete dishes, or change the descriptions to match new ingredients — without incurring additional costs. (Be sure to read our previous blog post, “iPad Menu: Apple Point of Sale Device or Total Apple POS System” to enjoy a lot more food for thought!)
